Wales under 19s Miss out on Semis

Justin Burnell's Wales Under 19s team ran in ten converted tries against Romania but it was not enough to see the team make the semi-finals of the World Championship in Dubai.

Burnell, who combines management of the Blues Academy with coaching the Grand Slam winning Wales under 19s, will now aim to lead the team to a best possible finish, as they take on South Africa on Monday for the 5th to 8th place competition.

There were nine different try scorers for Wales, including Blues youngsters Luke Ford, Matthew Larsen, Nicholas Eades and Daniel Franks amongst the scorers.

Wales Under-19: Martyn Thomas (Scarlets); Jimmy Norris (Dragons), Gareth Maule (Dragons), Luke Ford (Blues), James Lewis (Dragons); Rhys Priestland (Scarlets), Robert Lewis (Dragons); Hugh Gustafson (Scarlets), Marc Breeze (Ospreys), Jamie Corsi (Dragons), Bradley Davies (Blues, capt), Lou Reed (Scarlets), Matthew Larsen, Daniel Franks (Blues), Sam Kiley (Ospreys).

Replacements: Keiron Jenkins (Blues), Nicholas Eades (Blues), James Down (Blues), Darren Allinson (Scarlets), Josh Turnbull (Scarlets), Marc Jones (Exiles), Marc Breeze (Ospreys).
