Wales name unchaged side for Wallabies clash

International | 27th September 2019

Cardiff Blues duo Josh Navidi and Josh Adams retain their starting spots as Wales name an unchanged line-up to take on Australia in the second round of Rugby World Cup action on Sunday.

Both players impressed in the comprehensive bonus point victory over Georgia on Monday, with wing Adams crossing for his side's third of the evening in Toyota.

Navidi continues in the number eight jersey, packing down in the back row alongside Justin Tipuric and Aaron Wainwright, while Adams is joined by Liam Williams and George North in the back three.

Head coach Warren Gatland has kept faith with the XV that featured in the opening fixture, with captain Alun Wyn Jones set to become Wales' most capped player, surpassing Gethin Jenkins to make his 130th appearance on the international stage.

Tomos Williams, who starred as a replacement against Georgia, both scoring and creating Wales' second half tries, is once again named on the bench alongside regional team-mate Dillon Lewis. The only change to the matchday 23 sees Owen Watkin replacing Leigh Halfpenny on the bench.
