Tiny Competition Attracts Huge Interest

26th August 2003

The bmibaby Challenge Cup match last Friday night (22nd August) at the Arms Park attracted many new, as well as recognised faces to the family lounge before and after the game.

The family lounge is open at every home game this season and is without doubt the best place for juniors to join in the Cardiff Rugby match day fun. With Blues bear, Bruiser, and first team cardiff Blues players, usch as new signings Craig Quinnell and Dareen Crompton keeping everyone entertained.

The entertainment began with face painting, WordSearchs, junior games and the infamous Who’s This, adult quiz. And at the same time, juniors also collected their bmibaby gifts and balloons. However, it was the bmibaby Tiny Competition that attracted the most interest as juniors were asked to draw Tiny doing an activity, be it running, kicking a rugby ball or flying through the sky.

There were many entrants which will be posted in the kids gallery later this week. Special thanks to principle commercial partner and match sponsor, bmibaby, for donating the prizes.

If you missed out, don't worry you can still send in your favourite picture of Tiny by email to:

Friday's match mascot was four and half year old, Michael Brown, who attends Ysgol y castell in Caerphilly. He is fond of riding his bike and playing computer games. His favourite Cardiff Blues' stars are Jamie Robinson and Rhys Williams.
