Scarlets derby set for sell-out: Buy now to avoid disappointment!

20th December 2017

Cardiff Blues supporters are being urged to snap up the remaining tickets for their New Year's Eve Welsh derby with Scarlets early to avoid disappointment.

The mouth-watering Guinness PRO14 clash is heading for a sell-out with just a handful of seats remaining and the south terrace almost at capacity.

The ticket office will remain open until as usual until 5pm on Saturday, December 23 and will reopen on Wednesday, December 27.

Cardiff Blues Ticketing and Retail Manager, Luke Hughes, said: “As usual for Welsh derbies over Christmas, we are receiving a huge amount of interest and the Scarlets game on New Year’s Eve is well on its way to selling out.

“We have had a small number of seated tickets returned to us by the Scarlets but otherwise only terrace tickets remain, with the south terrace also close to selling out.

“The phone lines have been non-stop so we would urge anyone looking to purchase tickets to do so at their earliest convenience.”

While sales are soaring for the Welsh derby, there are also tickets available for the crunch European Challenge Cup clash with Toulouse.

Back 1996, Cardiff RFC faced the four-time Heineken Cup winners in the inaugural final and the Blues claimed an historic victory over the French giants at the Stade Ernest Wallon in October. The fixture date is set to be confirmed this week.

By buying a Scarlets ticket, you can add a Toulouse ticket for just £10.
