Plenty of character in Wales squad to bounce back in series decider insists Turnbull

Josh Turnbull insists there is plenty of character in the Wales squad to bounce back from Saturday’s draw and sign off their summer series with a win.

The Cardiff star, who enjoyed a stand-out campaign at club level, came off the bench in the first half at Principality Stadium as the clash between Wales and Argentina ended in stalemate.

Tries from Will Rowlands and Tomos Williams weren't enough for Wayne Pivac's side to claim the win against a 14-man Argentina side.

The 12-times capped international insists his side have identified the areas needed for improvement as they look claim victory in the series decider against Los Pumas.

Speaking to S4C, Turnbull said: “We’re a little bit disappointed because our discipline kept them in the game.

“But that’s something we can look at this week and make sure we improve on it a lot ahead of next week.

“They’re a tough team to face who play a very simple game-plan. If they’re not making much yards, they’ll send the ball high in the air and that can be quite difficult to deal with at times.

“For us, we have to make sure we transition from defence to attack immediately and we’ll have to make sure that we’re better at that next week.

“There are a lot of players who can play in this group, and they certainly don’t want to give up. This group wants to keep going, and we’ve shown that.

“For me, it was a pleasure to come on and make an impact and I was glad to come on so early.”
