Community | 12th June 2019

Places are still up for grabs on Cardiff Blues’ foundation degree in coaching and development in collaboration with the University of South Wales and the Welsh Rugby Union.

With the rugby industry continually expanding, this unique course gives students the opportunity to study for a degree, while working as a Cardiff Blues Community coach.

The combination of academic and vocational learning, and the industry-recognised qualification ensures students gain the perfect practical, technical and analytical skills for a career in professional rugby.

Students are also given the opportunity to acquire the WRU’s Leader’s Award, Rugby Ready course and the Level 1 and 2 qualifications.

Located at the University of South Wales and the iconic Arms Park, the course is highly sought after and has a track record of producing talent.

Recent graduates have become WRU School Hub Officers, Community Managers, Development Officers, Community Coaches and worked their way into the professional game. In fact six of the current Cardiff Blues Community Foundation team have graduated from this course.
