Nick Robinson survived 80 minutes of action in his comeback match as Cardiff notched their fifth consecutive Premier Division win in beating Aberavon 19-3.

After a brief appearance for the regional side against Edinburgh recently, the international fly-half was starting a game for the first time in nearly nine months.

He showed signs of being well on the road back to full match fitness after his viral illness. He scored nine points and the game was into injury time before he was replaced.

Afterwards he said,

"Obviously I'm a bit tired which is not surprising in the circumstances and no doubt I'll have a few aches and pains in the morning. But it was a match I needed and I enjoyed it. Hopefully I'll play some part in the next Blues' match against Munster in 10 days time."
