Llantwit Fardre RFC held their first girls U14 and U17 development session on Sunday 22nd July.
The club hope to have a girls team playing by the start of the new season to join their already burgeoning junior section. Adrian Evans the Blues Development Officer for Rhondda Cynon Taf took the session ably supported by the club coaches.
Speaking at the session Adrian said, The turn out was excellent given the recent weather and its the start of holiday period. Im sure given the enthusiasm shown by the players who attended and the commitment of the volunteers supporting the team they will be successful.
The team is looking for new members and we hope to tie them in with the Girls Tag rugby and Contact rugby tournaments we run in secondary schools during the year.
