It doesn't get much bigger than Wales v England - Mann

It doesn’t get much bigger than Wales against England says Alex Mann ahead of Wednesday’s Under-20 Six Nations showdown at Cardiff Arms Park.

Wales are desperate to bounce back from defeats against Ireland and France when they take on Grand Slam hopefuls England later this evening.

Speaking to Welsh Rugby Union, the captain insists that discipline and an 80 minute performance will be key if Ioan Cunningham’s side are to clinch victory in their penultimate fixture.

“We’re all prepared already. Wales against England, there’s nothing better. We know what we need to do and we’re all ready for it,” said the Cardiff academy member.

“An 80 minute performance is massive and as we’ve said all tournament, we have to stay in the game.

“In international rugby you have to be switched on for all of it so it is annoying that only in glimpses we’ve shown our class.

“Hopefully we can show more of that against England.

“It’s a massive honour to lead the boys, and it’s really big for me. It makes my job easier because there’s so many leaders around but I’m really enjoying it.

“Discipline will be huge. If we give penalties away against disciplined teams, we know that anyone in the competition will damage us and put points on us.

“We need to be squeaky clean with that and then we can do what we want to do.

“We’re more than ready for it. We can’t wait to meet them head on and see who comes out on top.”
