Friday Night Lights for Cardiff Blues in Challenge Cup Round of 16 clash

First Team News | 16th March 2021

It’s Friday Night Lights for Cardiff Blues as fixture details of the European Challenge Cup Round of 16 clash with London Irish have been confirmed.

Dai Young’s side travel to Irish’s new home at Brentford Community Stadium for the first time on Good Friday, April 2 (KO 5.30pm).

The encounter with Declan Kidney’s men kicks off a stunning weekend of European knock-out rugby, with BT Sport broadcasting all Challenge Cup Round of 16 fixtures live.

Cardiff Blues, who are in the hunt for a third European title, know that a win against London Irish would set up an away clash with the winners of the Zebre Rugby Club v Bath Rugby in the quarter finals on the following weekend.
