Four Cardiff Blues picked to face Pumas

10th November 2016

Four Cardiff Blues players have been selected in Wales' match-day squad for Saturday's clash against Argentina at Principality Stadium.

Sam Warburton returns to the international fold, and will start the game as blindside flanker. The 69-times capped back-row returned for Cardiff Blues during last week's Guinness PRO12 away victory at Benetton Treviso, following a lay-out with injury.

Gethin Jenkins is selected for his 128th Welsh cap in the front row and retains his captaincy role, following last week's 8-32 loss to Australia.

Cardiff Blues half-back combination, Lloyd Williams and Gareth Anscombe, have been named amongst the replacements, after missing out on selection against the Wallabies.

Wales: Leigh Halfpenny (RC Toulon); George North (Northampton Saints), Jonathan Davies (Scarlets), Scott Williams (Scarlets), Liam Williams (Scarlets); Dan Biggar (Ospreys), Gareth Davies (Scarlets); Gethin Jenkins (C) (Cardiff Blues), Ken Owens (Scarlets), Tomas Francis (Exeter Chiefs), Luke Charteris (Bath Rugby), Alun Wyn Jones (Ospreys), Sam Warburton (Cardiff Blues), Justin Tipuric (Ospreys), Ross Moriarty (Gloucester)

Replacement: Scott Baldwin (Ospreys), Nicky Smith (Ospreys), Samson Lee (Scarlets), Cory Hill (Newport Gwent Dragon), James King (Ospreys), Lloyd Williams (Cardiff Blues), Gareth Anscombe (Cardiff Blues), Jamie Roberts (Harlequins)
