Dacey calls for consistency

Kristian Dacey has called for consistency, as Cardiff Blues look to build on their Guinness PRO14 victory over Benetton Rugby on Monday.

The hooker skippered his side to their third victory over the season, as Wales’ Capital Region jumped to second place in Conference B.

With a tough set of fixtures on the horizon, Dacey has emphasised the importance of sticking to the game-plan and was pleased to see a number of players stepping up and impressing.

“For us it was about coming here and putting our game-plan to fruition,” said the Welsh international.

“Like John said, it’s about consistency but there’s big competition coming up with Leinster away and Glasgow at home.

“There’s boys in the squad who have had an opportunity and taken that opportunity so going forward we need to continue to sticking to our game-plan, like we did against Benetton, and I’m proud of how we came through.

“Defence is something we pride ourselves on. The conditions helped us get off the line and the biggest thing for us was the win.

“It wasn’t a pretty game, but we got across the line and a win is a win.

“We come away with those four points and it puts us in a good place.”
