Cooking up a treat at the Arms Park

Two lucky fans got a pizza the action during our special Italian themed home clash with Zebre - as they swapped rugby balls for meat balls and enjoyed a unique meal for two on the Cardiff Arms Park pitch!

Blues recently welcomed RaboDirect PRO12 side Zebre to the Welsh capital and gave supporters at the fixture a true taste of Italy after teaming up with Giovanni’s Restaurant.

Lucky fans Dawn Miles and Paul Elliott were selected from the crowd for an unforgettable half-time treat as they enjoyed a meal for two – featuring rugby shaped meatballs - on the halfway line served up by staff from Giovanni's Restaurant, based in Cardiff city centre and just minutes from the home of the Blues.

Owner Giovanni - a true Welsh Italian, who was born in Reggio Calabria, Italy and brought up in Grangetown, Cardiff – also gave away thirty £10 gift vouchers to fans who were lucky enough to find them under their seat.

Giovanni’s is also currently celebrating its 30th anniversary and so gave two lucky supporters also got an extra special tasty treat to enjoy.

Susan Careless was the lucky recipient of a table for two at the opening of the new Giovanni’s in Park Plaza while Colin Pearce was the winner of a table for two at Giovanni’s in The Hayes, Cardiff.
