Coach hails 'outstanding' Navidi display

25th April 2015

Coach Paul John hailed the performance of back row Josh Navidi in the 31-23 defeat to Ospreys - and insisted he must be pushing for World Cup selection.

Navidi capped a fine display in front of watching Wales coach Warren Gatland with a second half try as the Number Eight brushed off tacklers and then showed his pace to tear away and under the posts.

“Josh has been outstanding for us in every game he plays,” said John.

“He gives everything he has got. His work rate is phenomenal, he carries the ball as good as anyone in our team and his defence is as good as anyone in our team.

“Josh is a pleasure to work with and he has got to be putting his hand up for the World Cup by the way he is playing.”
