Cardiff Blues North Under 16s defeated Scarlets at Sardis Road 23-8 in the opening game of the league.
The North secured a bonus point win to go straight to the top of the league, following a Shaun Nicholas penalty and try. Other tries also came from Number 8 Garrick Legg, Lloyd Pierce and Will Rose.
High Performance Manager Gafyn Cooper said,
It was a convincing win and we are pleased to head the league, even if its only the first game. This was a good win and the achievement should not be underestimated."
The Ospreys beat the Dragons in the other fixture of the night. Blues South play Blues North on 20th September at Leckwith Stadium.
