Sport Relief is back, and this time it's from Friday 19th to Sunday 21st March, when the whole of the UK will come together to get active, raise cash and change lives.

It has a unique history of dedicated people doing extraordinary things to make a difference - from David Walliams' swim across the English Channel, to Eddie Izzard's amazing marathon a day around the UK. And that's not to mention the thousands of incredible people who rise to the challenge by doing the Sainsbury's Sport Relief Mile.

There's no better way to rise to the challenge than by entering the Sainsbury's Sport Relief Mile.  It's all set to be bigger and better than ever before, with 16 fantastic Flagship Miles and hundreds of other Mile events taking place across the UK on Sunday 21st March. You can even choose how far you go - 1, 3, or 6 miles - whichever's a challenge for you.

Speaking at the Training Centre, Cardiff blues Outside-half, Ceri Sweeney said,

"I think it's really important that people challenge themselves by getting active however they can.  The Sainsbury's Sport Relief Mile in Cardiff is a great way to do just that and be part of a fun-filled event that's open to all."

"And best of all, all the money raised goes to help people living unimaginably tough lives here in the UK and across the world's poorest countries.  I think everyone should encourage their friends and family to rise to the challenge and enter the Cardiff Mile now at sportrelief.com," added Ceri.

Former Wales and Lions Captain, Gareth Thomas said,

"I it's time to rise to the challenge Cardiff! The Sainsbury's Sport Relief Mile is back and this time it's bigger and better than ever before! There's never been a greater opportunity to get active, raise cash and change lives."

"On Sunday 21st March, thousands of people will be running the Sainsbury's Sports Relief Mile in Cardiff, and I challenge you to join them! Anyone can take part and you can even choose your own challenge, with 1,3 or 6 miles on offer. Enter the Cardiff Mile now at sportrelief.com."

Bethan Griffiths, whose family is originally from Maerdy, is taking part in The Sainsbury's Sport Relief Mile added,

"I think The Sainsbury's Sport Relief Mile is a great way of raising money for very worthy causes, both in the U.K. and abroad."

"I'm studying P.E. in school and running The Sainsbury's Sport Relief Mile is a great way to keep fit and an enjoyable day out with all your friends," added Bethan.

All the money raised by the public is spent by Comic Relief to help transform the lives of poor and vulnerable people, both at home and across the world's poorest countries.
