Are you daring and caring enough?

26th February 2013

If you think you're the fittest in your club, group or workplace, we dare you to prove it at an action-filled fundraising event in aid of Ty Hafan

Taking place in Dare Valley Country Park in Aberdare on Saturday 23 March, “Do you Dare” is ideal for fitness enthusiasts or groups of friends and colleagues looking for a fun day out.

Sponsored by Core Assets Fostering Cymru, this year’s event will include mountain biking, fell running, canoeing and archery.

Dirty Sanchez star Matthew Pritchard is a big fan of the fundraising challenge and said: “Do you Dare is an awesome adrenaline-filled adventure and a great way to raise funds for an amazing cause."

Now in its second year, the event also offers an elite option for the more courageous participants. It’s just the sort of activity to launch you into an adventurous 2013!

"We are very excited to be repeating this fantastic event for Ty Hafan," said Sali Thomas, Event Organiser.

"Participants can either sign up for a challenge or take part in an elite option to test their abilities at a more hard core level. Both disciplines require a good level of fitness and will certainly be good fun for teams of friends and colleagues. We have been working closely with RCT Education and Outdoor Fitness Ltd at the country park and I think participants will really enjoy the challenges they’ll face on the day.”

Teams will be asked to raise sponsorship to take part in the event which will be contributing to the care and support Ty Hafan provides to an ever-increasing number of life-limited children, young people and their families accessing its services.

As an added incentive, the team who submits the most sponsorship by 30 June 2013, will win a Kindle Fire HD for each team member courtesy of Western Power Distribution.
