The first Future Blues junior coaching course to be held at Cardiff Arms Park took place during February half term.
Young players between the ages 7-15 were invited to take part in the course to develop their skills with accredited rugby coaches and Blues players.
Juniors received a certificate of achievement and picked up a wealth of rugby knowledge from Blues coaches and players Tom Shanklin, Mark Lewis, Lee Thomas and Gareth Williams, who seemed to enjoy having the chance to meet up with their young fans.
WhatÂ’s more although the afternoon session was delayed, the youngsters did get the chance to watch some special guests, namely the Wales squad, who practised on the Arms Park ahead of their game against Ireland at the weekend.
Next Friday as the Blues return to action against the Ospreys in the Celtic League there will also be the return of the Under 8s Tag demonstrations as Abercwmboi play St Josephs at half time. Each player will be awarded certificates by Red Dragon FM presenters in recognition for their performance in front of the Arms Park crowd.
Also at half time Cardiff University First XV will also be doing a lap of honour having beaten Swansea by 15-5 in last weeks Varsity match and there will also be a display by David Lloyd Leisure.
Before the game young supporters can meet the Royal Regiment of Wales who will be visiting the Arms Park with their Warrior tank and activities for young supporters, such as paint balling. Make sure you arrive early
