Boss urges his players to push on

3rd April 2016

Danny Wilson has urged his Cardiff Blues to keep pushing all the way until the end of the Guinness PRO12 as they try and keep top six dreams alive.

Cardiff Blues made it three successive victories in the league with a 28-22 win over Scarlets – in what Head Coach Wilson described as the best performance of the season.

Next up is Newport Gwent Dragons at BT Sport Cardiff Arms Park on April 17 and Wilson is eager for his men not keep firing on all cylinders as they hunt another derby day scalp.

“There is mathematically still a chance for us to get the top six,” said Wilson. “We needed to go to Scarlets and win to keep that alive - that was part of our motivation.

“We talked in the summer and said the way we will get respect is by winning derby games.

“We have won two derbies on the road and have done the double over the Scarlets. We have achieved but we don’t want to stop.

“We have Dragons at home and the Ospreys in the Principality Stadium. Hopefully we can play with the same passion to get even more results.”
