Fab five start for Wales Under-20s

10th February 2016

There are three changes and one positional in the Wales U20 side to take on Scotland at Parc Eirias on Friday (6.30pm) - and five players from Cardiff Blues will start the fixture.

Joe Thomas comes in at outside centre, with Cardiff Blues ace Harri Millard moving to inside centre. Reuben Morgan-Williams and Bryce Morgan get their first start at scrum half and lock respectively.

Wales beat Ireland 35-24 last Friday night, while Scotland beat England for the first time (24-6).

Strange said, “We are very pleased with our performance and result against Ireland. Scoring four tries away from home is a great platform to build on and we want to continue in that attacking vein this weekend.

“Scotland were excellent last weekend so we have no illusions about the task ahead. Although we have looked at Scotland’s game, it’s important we concentrate on our own performance.

“We are looking forward to returning to Eirias, we always have a fantastic welcome there and the crowd will no doubt give the players a boost.”

Adam Beard, Jarrod Evans and Owen Watkin have been called up by their Regions this weekend.
