Players head out for community rugby visits

23rd September 2015

The stars from Cardiff Blues will be out in the community right across our region over the coming days to help support grassroots rugby.

At least twice every season the players from Cardiff Blues aim to visit clubs right across the region, to help mini/junior sections and assist in coaching sessions or presentations.

Clubs are able to request player visits during this times and the first group of sessions will take place on Wednesday and Thursday evening this week.

Nadine Griffiths, Community Rugby Manager at Cardiff Blues, said: “The visits from our players are always very popular and it’s fantastic to see youngsters from clubs right across our region learn off the professionals and be inspired to play.

“We hope all the clubs that have applied for the first round of visits enjoy the evenings and we look forward to running this popular community project again later in the season.”

Scheduled Player visits: Treherbert (Lewis Jones), Y Rhondda (Ellis Jenkins), Ynysybwl (Adam Thomas),  Treharris (Kristian Dacey), Gwernyfed (Tavis Knoyle), Dinas Powys (Jarrad Hoeata), Builth Wells (Craig Mitchell), Brecon (Richard Smith), Llantrisant (Scott Andrews), Pontyclun (Matthew Rees), Treorchy (Lou Reed), Taffs Well (Gavin Evans), Rumney (James Down), Rhiwbina (Tom Isaacs), Dowlais (Owen Jenkins), Gilfach Goch (Tom Davies), Tref y Clawdd (Sam Hobbs).
