Cardiff Blues are today delighted to officially unveil our new Special Edition #StayStrongForOws kit for the 2015/16 season - and you can buy it NOW and continue to show your support!
The wraps came off at midday today (Tuesday) with a unique social media launch all thanks to our fantastic fans!
Hundreds of supporters signed up to our ‘thunderclap’ campaign so we could automatically blast out a timed social media message from you – our supporters – and create a wave of attention and excitement around the globe!
And the very first new kit picture – featuring Wales internationals Sam Warburton, Gethin Jenkins and Gareth Anscombe – plus a special video was a social media hit with a reach of over a MILLION!
The Special Edition #StayStrongForOws jersey is available NOW from the Cardiff Blues Shop.
And the stars from BT Sport Cardiff Arms Park will pull on the striking new kit for the first time in the Singha Premiership Rugby 7s Series on home soil this Saturday (August 15).
The new kit – made by our Official Kit Provider Canterbury - has being especially designed to reflect the amazing fundraising and awareness of the #StayStrongForOws campaign.
Launched to support Owen Williams, who suffered a serious spinal injury in action for Cardiff Blues in Singapore in June 2014, the rugby community has already helped raise over £200,000, with support from our friends at the Welsh Rugby Charitable Trust.
And we’re now pleased to announce that every jersey bought from the Club Shop at Cardiff Blues – both online and in store - will also automatically generate a donation of £10 to the #StayStrongForOws cause!
