Dacey looks to build on Euro momentum

28th October 2014

Kristian Dacey has urged Cardiff Blues to transfer their European form into the Guinness PRO12 as league action resumes this Saturday when Munster Rugby arrive at BT Sport Cardiff Arms Park.

Cardiff Blues have enjoyed impressive back-to-back successive victories in the European Rugby Challenge Cup as Grenoble and Femi-CZ Rugby Rovigo were defeated in bonus point style.

High flying Irish province Munster are next up on home soil this Saturday afternoon (kick-off 5.15pm).

And Dacey admits Blues must do all they can to record a first league win in Cardiff as launch their bid to climb the table over the coming months.

“We’ve had a tough start to the league season and clearly not got the wins we all wanted, but we are working hard, week in and week out, so it is about time we started to get results on the pitch,” said Dacey.

“It’s been good for the confidence getting two wins on the bounce. The Rovigo game was exactly the confidence booster we needed and we have got to push on now and get results in the PRO12.

“At this time of year, with all the internationals away for autumn games, teams will be losing a lot of boys.

“Unfortunately for us we don’t have that many call-ups for Wales; but it means we can be strong and pick up some positive results. We have to make this period count.”
