The Big Shave - Make a Difference!

24th December 2013

The first team players and coaching staff at Cardiff Blues are all set to go under the clippers this Christmas - after vowing to get their heads shaved in a bid to raise valuable funds for Velindre Hospital in Cardiff. And so far we have already reached over 30% of our target so please keep donating!

Blues announced earlier this year that the club captain Matthew Rees was to have an enforced spell away from rugby as he undergoes medical treatment at Velindre.

The region has been selling ‘Smile For Our Captain’ wristbands to help raise funds and awareness this month.

And now the players and staff want to be a cut above and are ready to take fundraising up another level if a special target can be hit!

The region has set a fundraising target of £10,000 for Velindre Hospital. And if the target is reached over 30 players and coaching staff at the Blues will shave their heads to show their support! The deadline to raise the funds will be the 31st December ahead of the New Year.

Donate NOW by clicking here and prepare to watch the Blues like you have never seen them before in 2014!

Thank you for your support!
