Cardiff Blues are delighted to announce we are supporting the Lloyds Bank Cardiff Half Marathon this Sunday (October 6) - by offering runners the chance to celebrate their success with a 'Ticket for a Tenner' for our game at the Arms Park!
Thousands of athletes will lace up their trainers as the Welsh capital prepares to host an unforgettable weekend of running and rugby!
And Blues are getting right behind all the amazing runners taking part in the Lloyds Bank Cardiff Half Marathon by offering a ‘Ticket for a Tenner’ for our RaboDirect PRO12 game on Sunday afternoon with Edinburgh (kick-off 2.05pm)!
Over 19,000 runners will tackle the city streets and complete the 13.1 mile course around the Welsh Capital, which showcases many of Cardiff’s most iconic building and landmarks.
The event is Wales’ largest mass participation sporting event and last year over 40,000 spectators lined the streets to cheer on the runners.
We will be screening good luck messages to runners who pass Cardiff Arms Park and then are offering runners a special deal to celebrate their achievement at our league game with Edinburgh!
Any runner who comes to the game with their Lloyds Bank Cardiff Half Marathon medal can buy a ticket for just £10!
Blues are also pleased to be able to support the family fun run – expected to attract over 1,000 runners - this Saturday afternoon (October 5) at Cardiff’s Civic Centre
There will be an array of pre and post-race entertainment for participants and spectators to enjoy between 12noon and 4pm. We will have a special stand at the family friendly event while our mascot Bruiser will take part in a mascot race at 2.30pm!
