The Redrow Homes Blues cup second round draw has taken place at Cardiff Arms Park today after the remaining games were played last weekend.
The calibre of play seen in the first round has been of a high standard and played in great spirit.
Clubs who have traditionally performed well in the competition have made some surprise exits during round one. Round two brings new opportunities, for old and new teams alike, with all the participants looking forward to what competition the latest draw will hold.
The few clubs that were handed byes in the first round will be eager to get started in the competition.
Looking at the results from today’s draw its deja vu in the U13 age group as last season’s U12 finalist, Rhumney and Abercynon, meet again in round two. Last season’s U13 winners Pontypridd will also be looking to maintain their Blues Cup crown with an away game at Rumney in the U14 age group. While new boys Whitchurch U13 will look to make their mark by taking on Builth Wells.
Games for round two are to be played on or before the weekend of January 6th 2013.
