Corporate Focus - Black Horse

8th October 2004

Capital Rugby principle sponsor Black Horse were delighted to entertain their Cardiff employees at the last Cardiff Blues home Celtic League game against Connacht.

Four Capital Rugby schools from Cardiff and the Vale played on the famous Arms Park turf pre-match to display their developing talent in TAG rugby to the crowd and sponsors.

Capital Rugby is now in its seventh year. There are six Development Officers working in schools and clubs across the district through partnership with Cardiff Blues, WRU, Sport.Cardiff and private business such as Black Horse and James & Jenkins.

Louise Hurley Corporate Communication Executive for Black Horse, commented on the night,
"It's great for our staff to come and see first hand how our support for Capital Rugby directly benefits these children and the thousands of others like them across the district.

"For the children to play here in front of a real rugby audience is excellent. The pack room where the certificate presentation took place was buzzing with excitement a sure sign of how much the children and their teachers have enjoyed the evening."

During the game Black Horse staff took part in a Guess the Score competition, which with the Blues scoring repeatedly in the last twenty minutes was eventually won by Michelle Tollerield who had her prize presented by Craig Quinnell. Also at final whistle Steve Hutton from Black Horse Change Management department was delighted to present the Walkabout Man of the Match award to Martyn WIlliams.

Capital Rugby will be staging an October half term coaching course for the young players in the region to enjoy. More details will be posted on soon.
