Amlin Challenge Cup champions, Cardiff Blues, will begin their new season this August in familiar colours but in an all new kit, which has been unveiled today and is available to pre-order now.

The tease images, featuring Blues and Wales stars Jamie Roberts and Bradley Davies, were first shown on the Blues website last Tuesday and with the full reveal today, the shirt is now available for pre orders from www.cardiffblues.com/shop.

Fresh from their most successful season since inception in 2003, the Blues will be starting their 2010/11 campaign in a newly designed shirt, courtesy of kit manufacturer Canterbury.

Combining the previous home jersey and last season’s special edition European one, the new shirt is a mix of navy blue with a new ‘chevron’ side panels in shades of blue. Tthe new home kit will be worn for all competitions next season, with the alternative strip retaining the bright colour now synonymous with the region, fuchsia pink, also complete with the new chevron arrow design in navy.

The Blues retain their partnership for 2010/11 with principal commercial partners, EADS, who since the beginning of their relationship two seasons ago, have brought the Blues fantastic luck on the pitch, watching them lift the EDF Anglo-Welsh Cup in 2009 and last season’s Amlin Challenge Cup title.

The new shirts will arrive in store on July 19th and will be available to purchase from the Cardiff City Stadium Store, the Arms Park Shop and the Cardiff Blues stand at the Royal Welsh Show from next Monday.

The Blues kick off the new term with a pre-season friendly on Friday 27th August at Cardiff City Stadium. Martyn Williams "Spirit of Wales" Testimonial Year Committee’ present a derby game for the Blues against local rivals, the Dragons. This match will be the first home game that the boys run out in the new jerseys and the first time they will get the opportunity to play in front of a home crowd since their European success last May.

Supporters are able to place pre-orders on www.cardiffblues.com/shop or by calling 0845 345 1485 with guaranteed first class delivery by Tuesday 20th July.
