June 19-27 is National Bike Week, and Amlin Cup champions Cardiff Blues are encouraging families in Cardiff to get cycling with a special season ticket offer and prize draw.

The new Blues Family Season ticket for 2010/2011 gives two adults and two juniors access to all normal  Magners League matches, all Heineken Cup pool matches, all Anglo-Welsh pool matches and any pre-season friendlies, for just £295.

Everyone who buys a family season ticket will be entered in to a prize draw to win a set of four bikes for their family, courtesy of Tredz bike shop in Cardiff.

The Cardiff Blues will also be supporting their charity of the year, Cancer Research Wales, by offering a family season ticket as part of a prize draw at the charity's annual bike ride event on Sunday, June 27th.

Starting in Pendragon Inn, Thornhill, the Sunday morning cycle ride follows a route around Lisvane, Old St Mellons and Marshfield before joining the Taff Trail to Whitchurch, and heading back to Thornhill for a BBQ and entertainment at the Pendragon Inn. All sponsorship and entry fees will help fund pioneering research into new cancer treatments.

A Cardiff Blues season ticket is now even better value for money with two more teams joining the Magners League. The 2010/11 will be the first in which two Italian teams will play in the competition.

Season Ticket holders will also be able to purchase two additional match tickets for each home Heineken Cup pool match for £10 each as well as being entered into an exclusive ballot for the chance to buy international tickets.

Gareth Baber, Cardiff Blues Backs Coach tried out a set of Tredz bikes with two of his three children Adam (7) and Aimee (9), both pupils at Ysgol y Berllan Deg.

Gareth said; "The season ticket offer is fantastic value, and it means families can take advantage of all the entertainment and facilities here at the Cardiff City Stadium. Whoever wins the bikes will also have a great time making the most of all the cycling opportunities in South Wales this summer."
