Blues Earn Strong Representation in Wales Age Grade Teams

23rd March 2006

The Blues age grade teams continue to be well represented in the Wales national squads.

The Wales Under 18 squad to compete in the Four Nations starting in April has been announced, including ten Blues players: James Egan, Luke Ford, James Thomas, Phillip Williams, Gareth Williams, Huw Dowden, Scott Andrews, Patrick Palmer, Jevon Groves and Sam Warburton.

The Under 18s will be aiming to match the success of the Grand Slam winning Under 19s. Blues Academy Manager, Justin Burnell, is switching back to his red hat as Wales Under 19s coach, leading the squad off to Dubai to participate in the World Cup. Captain Bradley Davies is joined by five other Blues players Nick Eades, James Down, Matthew Larson, Keiron Jenkins and Daniel Franks in the squad who face New Zealand in their opening game.
