Holland urges fans to get behind the team

13th January 2012

New Cardiff Blues CEO, Richard Holland, has urged supporters to get behind the team ahead of two massive Heineken Cup matches.

The Blues take on London Irish on Saturday followed by Le Crunch next Sunday, 22 January when they take on Racing Metro at the Cardiff City Stadium, 3.15pm kick off.

It’s a crucial fortnight for the Blues as they seek to clinch a Heineken Cup quarterfinal spot. The Blues have fantastic offer for supporters with season ticket holders able to purchase additional tickets for family and friends for only £10 each.*

In addition supporters can also buy a family ticket for two adults and two children for only £24.** With it being an afternoon kick off the match promises to be a great occasion for fans of all ages.

Speaking at the Cardiff City Stadium, Holland said,

“We’ve got a big two weeks ahead with London Irish away and Racing at home.”

“We want to get a home quarterfinal in the Heineken Cup which would be something great to give the fans. The more people who come down to support, the better the atmosphere and hopefully the team will perform in line again.”

“It’s very affordable; £24 for two adults and two kids is great value. It’s easily accessible and we’ve gone to great lengths to try to make it even easier with shuttle buses.”

“I want to re-engage those critics that are not too keen on the Cardiff City Stadium as well as open ourselves up to new markets.”

“It’s a fantastic product. The stadium is absolutely brilliant. The team needs people to come to support them, especially for the Racing game.”
