Cardiff Blues will take on Sale Sharks and Worcester Warriors in August ahead of the first league match of the season
Sale Sharks are familiar opponents to Cardiff Blues supporters with both teams being drawn in the same Heineken Cup pool last season. It was one a piece last year with the Blues letting a 24 – 12 half time lead slip away, losing 34-33 in the north of England, before avenging that loss with a 26-14 win in Cardiff.
The Bank Holiday match will be played on Friday 23 August 7.30pm kick off at the Arms Park.
The weekend before Cardiff Blues travel to take on Worcester Warriors who have a new-look coaching team, led by Dean Ryan and former Wales full back Shane Howarth.
The Worcester Warriors v Cardiff Blues match will be played on Saturday 17 August 3pm kick off at Sixways.
The Blues played the Warriors in last season’s warm up match with the Aviva Premiership side winning an entertaining encounter by 30 points to 25 by scoring last minute try at the Arms Park.
